تم اصدار العملة في عهد مجلس السيادة السوداني الذي حكم من 2019م حتى الان. لواجهة صورة برج الاتصالات وقمر صناعي وعبارتي (بنك السودان المركزي) و(خمسمائة جنيه سوداني)، والرقم 500 أعلي اليسار / ما خلفية الورقة فئة ال 500 جنيه تتضمن صورة مصفاة البترول، الصورة الكامنة تظهر عند إمالة الورقة.

The currency was issued during the reign of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, which has ruled since 2019. The obverse features an image of a communications tower, a satellite, the phrases “Central Bank of Sudan” and “Five Hundred Sudanese Pounds,” and the number 500 in the upper left. The reverse of the 500-pound note features an image of the oil refinery; the hidden image is visible when the note is tilted.
