This coin was minted during the reign of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, who ruled from 2004 to 2022.

It was issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first shipment of Adma oil in 1962.

The obverse features the 1 dirham note, surrounded by the words “United Arab Emirates” in Arabic and English. It is rarely circulated.

Reverse: The occasion’s logo in the center, with the words “50th Anniversary of the First Oil Shipment” written below it in Arabic and English.
