This coin was minted during the reign of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, who ruled from 2004 to 2022.

It was issued to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Zakum Development Company (Zakum) in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

The obverse: The center bears the 1 dirham note, surrounded by the words “United Arab Emirates” in Arabic and English. It is rarely circulated.

Reverse: The center bears the company logo, surrounded by the company logo in Arabic and English (30th Anniversary of the Zakum Development Company in Arabic and English / 1977-2007 AD).
