This coin was minted during the reign of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (1391-1425 AH / 1971-2004 AD). The obverse features the 1 fils, surrounded by the words “United Arab Emirates” in Arabic and English. The reverse features a palm tree in the center. The date of issue, 1393 AH / 1973 AD, is written beneath it. Above it is the inscription “To Increase Food Crop Production.” |
