صدر في عهد الشيخ جابر الأحمد الصباح أمير الكويت (1977- 2006م) وقد اختلفت هذه الأوراق النقدية اختلافا رئيسيا عن سابقتها من أوراق وذلك بوضع شعار دولة الكويت بدلا من صورة أمير البلاد، حسب رغبة الشيخ جابر الأحمد الصباح، وهذه العملة تحمل على أحد وجهيها الشعار الرسمي لدولة الكويت وتوقيع وزير المالية عبد الرحمن العتيقي (1967-1971م / 1975-1981م) ومحافظ بنك الكويت المركزي حمزة عباس (1973-1983م) والوجه الاخر تحمل صورة البوم الشراعي الكويتي
Issued during the reign of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait (1977-2006), these banknotes differed significantly from their predecessors by replacing the image of the Emir with the emblem of the State of Kuwait, as per the wishes of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. This currency bears on one side the official emblem of the State of Kuwait and the signatures of the Minister of Finance, Abdul Rahman Al-Ateeqi (1967-1971 / 1975-1981) and the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Hamza Abbas (1973-1983). The other side bears a picture of Seif Palace.
