صدرت العملة في عهد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة بن حمد آل ثاني الذي حكم من عام 1995 م حتى 2013 م.

الوجه: في الوسط: داو (سفينة شراعية)
شجرة النخيل واللاتي تمثلان البيئتين الزراعية والبحرية لدولة قطر، وكتب حولهما في الأسفل دولة قطر وفي الأعلى سنة الإصدار 1421 هـ/ 2000 م.

الظهر: في الوسط كتب 50 درهما واسفلها دولة قطر باللغة الإنجليزية.

 

The coin was issued during the reign of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, who ruled from 1995 to 2013.

Oversea: In the center: a dhow (sailing ship) and a palm tree, representing the agricultural and marine environments of the State of Qatar. Surrounding them is the phrase “State of Qatar” at the bottom, and the year of issue 1421 AH/2000 AD at the top.

Reverse: In the center is the phrase “50 dirhams” and below it is the phrase “State of Qatar” in English.
