This coin was minted during the presidency of Anwar Sadat, who ruled from 1970 to 1981.

Obverse: In the center is written “10 Piastres” and above it, “Arab Republic of Egypt.” Below it is the date of issue: 1396 AH / 1976 AD.

Reverse: It depicts the Suez Canal with the inscription “Commemoration of the Reopening of the Suez Canal” above it and “June 5, 1975” below.
