It was minted during the reign of Sultan Said bin Taimur, who ruled from 1932 to 1970. Obverse: The emblem of the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman is on the left side of the note. In the center is written “Rial Saidi” / 5 / Above is written “Sultanate of Muscat and Oman” / Below is the name (C.G. Bailey), who was the Secretary of Finance at the time. Reverse: The paper features a picture of the historic Nizwa Fort / and below it is written in English, the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman. |
