الوجه: على اليمين يظهر شعار سلطنة عمان / وفي اعلى الوسط كتب مجلس النقد العماني / اسفله كتب نصف ريال عماني / وهي بتوقيع محمد محمود مراد رئيس مجلس النقد / وفي أسفل اليمين واليسار كتب 1.

الظهر: يظهر صورة قلعة صحار / وفي الاسفل كتب بالإنجليزي مجلس النقد العماني/ وفي الاعلى جهتي اليمين واليسار كتب 1.

This banknote was printed during the reign of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who ruled from 1970 to 2020.

Obverse: On the right is the emblem of the Sultanate of Oman / At the top center is written “Oman Currency Board” / Below it is written “Half an Omani Rial” / It is signed by Mohammed Mahmoud Murad, Chairman of the Currency Board / At the bottom right and left is written “1”.

Reverse:  Shows a picture of Sohar Castle / Below it is written in English: Oman Currency Board / Above, on the right and left sides, it says 1.
