This coin was minted during the reign of Nicholas II, the last Emperor of Russia, King of Poland, and Grand Duke of Finland. He ruled Russia from November 1, 1894, upon the death of his father, Emperor Alexander III, until March 15, 1917, when he abdicated in favor of his brother, Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich.
