This coin was minted during the reign of King Muhammad Idris I al-Sanusi, who ruled from 1952 to 1970. Obverse: In the center is the emblem of the Kingdom of Libya, with the words “Kingdom of Libya” written above it, and the year of issue, 1385 AH / 1965 AD, below. Reverse: In the center are palm fronds and tree branches, with the words “50 millimes” written inside, and “Fifty Millimes” written in English below. Composition: Copper and nickel.
