The currency was issued during the presidency of Saddam Hussein, who ruled from 1979 to 2003. Obverse: Green and brown on a multicolored background. Three Arabian horses are depicted in the center, and below them is the date of issue (1402 AH / 1982 AD). At the top is written “Central Bank of Iraq,” and to the right is written “Twenty-five dinars.” Reverse: Green and brown on a multicolored background / Fountain in the courtyard of the Abbasid Palace in Baghdad / In English: (Central Bank of Iraq) and below: (Twenty-five dinars) Size: 80 x 175 mm |
