The currency was issued during the presidency of Saddam Hussein, who ruled from 1979 to 2003. Obverse: Dark blue on a light blue background with a pale-yellow print. / Al-Akhtar Castle is in the center. / A portrait of Saddam Hussein is on the right. / At the top, it says “Central Bank of Iraq,” and below the castle, it says “One Hundred Dinars.” At the bottom, in the center, is the date of issue: 1414 AH (1994 AD). Reverse: The reverse side features a central image of the Baghdad Clock. The text in English reads: “Central Bank of Iraq” at the top and “One Hundred Dinars” at the bottom. Size : 84 x 177 mm |
