Obverse: In the center is a picture of King Muhammad Idris I al-Sanusi / In front of him is written King of Libya and behind him Idris I.

Reverse In the middle is the emblem of the Kingdom of Libya with the words (2 Libyan piastres 1952 AD) written inside / On the sides it says (Libyan piastre) / And at the bottom it says in English (two piastres).
