The coin was minted during the reign of Mohammed V, who ruled from 1346-1381 AH / 1927-1961 AD. Obverse: In the center: a six-pointed star with a smaller star in the middle. Around the star is written: “In the books of the Algerian state.” Above: “The noble Mohammedan coinage.” On the left side: “Struck in Paris.” Reverse: In the center, it says “200 Francs.” Below the center, it says the date of issue, 1953 CE, and below that, 1372 AH. In the middle circle, it says in English at the top, “The Sharifian Kingdom of Morocco.” In the outer circle, it says “The Sharifian Mohammedan Coin.” Composition: Silver (720) Weight: 8 grams Diameter: 27.1 mm Thickness: 1.7 mm |
