This coin was minted during the reign of King Muhammad Idris I al-Sanusi, who ruled from 1952 to 1970.

Obverse: In the center is a portrait of King Idris I al-Sanusi. The words “King of Libya” are written in front of him, and “Idris I” is written behind him.

Reverse: In the center is the emblem of the Kingdom of Libya, with the words “1 Libyan Millim 1952” written inside. The words “Libyan Piastre” are written on either side, and “One Millim” is written in English at the bottom.
