The banknote was printed during the presidency of Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who ruled from 2012 to 2022.

Obverse: Dark brown and maroon on a light brown and orange background; / Dragon’s blood trees at the bottom center. Stained glass window from the moon to the right of the Arabic serial number. A sketch of a mosque as a background image. / At the top, it says “Central Bank of Yemen,” and below it to the left, it says “100 Riyals.”

Reverse: Dark brown and maroon on a light brown, yellow, and orange background. / Terraced agricultural fields in the center. / The mihrab of the Queen Arwa Mosque is decorated on the right. / At the top, it says “Central Bank of Yemen” in English, and at the top left, it says “100.”
