This coin was minted during the presidency of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has been in office since 2014 and remains (as of 2026) the President of the Republic.

Obverse: Depicts Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, surrounded by the words “Republic of Turkey” in English.

Reverse: At the top is the crescent and star, the emblem of the Republic. The number 1 is prominently displayed, below it is the word “Turkish Lira” in English, and at the bottom is the date of issue, 2015.
