This coin was minted during the reign of Abdurrahman Wahid, who ruled from 1999 to 2001.

Obverse:

(Top): Features the national coat of arms of Indonesia, the Garuda Pancasila bird. Below it are the year of minting, “1999,” and the name of the issuing bank, “BANK INDONESIA.”

Reverse:

(Bottom): Depicts the black palm parrot, known locally as “Kakaktuwa Raja.” The face value, “100 Rupiah,” is clearly visible below.

Composition: Made entirely of aluminum (~99%), making it very lightweight.
