The coin was minted during the presidency of Camille Chamoun, who ruled the Lebanese Republic from 1952 to 1958. Obverse: At the top is a sailing ship; below it is the minting date, 1955, and below that is the inscription “Lebanese Republic” in Arabic and English. Reverse: At the top left is the cedar tree – the symbol of Lebanon. Below it, on the right, is the inscription “10 Piastres,” and below that, in English, is the inscription “10 Piastres.” Composition: Aluminum and bronze Weight: 3.94 grams Diameter: 21.8 mm Thickness: 1.48 mm |
