This coin was issued by the National Bank of Djibouti during the tenure of President Hassan Gouled, who ruled from 1977 to 1999. Obverse: Features the coat of arms of the Republic of Djibouti surrounded by a laurel wreath, along with the country’s name (REPUBLIQUE DE DJIBOUTI) and the year of issue (1991).
