The first Omani copper coin bearing the name Muscat was minted in 1311 AH/1894 AD during the reign of Sultan Faisal bin Turki.

Oversea: Al Jalali Fort, the Sultan’s Palace, palm trees, and the seaport.

Reverse: Faisal bin Turki bin Said, in front of Muscat and Oman, in Arabic and English.
