صدرت هذه العملة في زمن الاحتلال الفرنسي للجزائر حيث استقلت في 5 يوليو 1962 م

الوجه: صورة ماريان” هو اسم يُشير عادةً إلى الرمز الوطني لفرنسا، وهو تجسيد للحرية والعقل، ويمثل الجمهورية الفرنسية وتاريخها الجمهوري/ وحوله كتب بالإنجليزية مستعمرات الجمهورية الفرنسية / حول الصورة كتب بالإنجليزية (الجمهورية الفرنسية)

الظهر: في الوسط كتب (100 فرنك وتحته سنة اصدار العملة 1952 م / وفي الأسفل كتبت بالإنجليزي كلمة (الجزائر)

This currency was issued during the French occupation of Algeria, which gained independence on July 5, 1962.

Obverse: Portrait of Marianne” is a name usually referring to the national symbol of France, the embodiment of liberty and reason, representing the French Republic and its republican history. / Around it is written in English the colonies of the French Republic. / Around the image are written in English (The French Republic).

Reverse: In the center is written “100 Francs” and below it is the year of issue of the coin, 1950 AD. At the bottom is written “Algeria” in English.
