تم سك هذه العملة في عهد عبد الله بن محمد المهدي، حكم من 1894م الى 1898 م / 1312ـ1315 هـ وهي من أواخر عملات ثورة المهدي المضروبة بأم درمان قبيل الاحتلال البريطاني عام 1898 م
والطغرائية هي عبارة عن كلمة ” مقبولة ” أي عملة مقبولة للتداول في السودان.

الوجه: رمحين متقاطعين في الأسفل اعلاهما غصنين كتب بينهما مقبول 20 قرش.

الظهر: غصنين كتب اعلاهما ضرب في ام درمان 1312 هـ

This coin was minted during the reign of Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Mahdi, who ruled from 1894 to 1898 AD (1312-1315 AH). It is one of the last Mahdist Revolution coins minted in Omdurman prior to the British occupation in 1898 AD.
The word “Tughra” is a plural for “acceptable,” meaning a currency accepted for circulation in Sudan.

Obverse: Two crossed spears at the bottom, above which are two branches, between which is written “Maqbool 20 piasters.”

Reverse: Two branches, above which is written “Minimum 20 piasters.” Minted in Omdurman in 1312 AH.
