This coin was minted during the reign of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, who ruled from 2004 to 2022. It was issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of First Gulf Bank. The obverse features the 1 dirham note, surrounded by the United Arab Emirates in Arabic and English. It is rarely circulated. Reverse: The occasion’s logo is in the center, above it, written in Arabic and English: First Gulf Bank, 25 Years of Excellence, and on either side: 1979-2004 |
