Issued during the reign of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait (1977-2006), these banknotes differed primarily from their predecessors by placing the emblem of the State of Kuwait instead of the image of the Emir, according to the wishes of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. This currency bears on one of its sides the official emblem of the State of Kuwait and the signature of the Minister of Finance, Abdul Rahman Al-Ateeqi (1967-1971 / 1975-1981). The other side bears a picture of Seif Palace, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Hamza Abbas (1973-1983)
