This coin was minted during the presidency of Anwar Sadat, who ruled from 1970 to 1981.

Obverse: The eagle (horizon) and below it, the inscription “Union of Arab Republics

Arab Republic of Egypt.”

Reverse: 10 piastres in the center, above it, “Arab Republic of Egypt,” and below on either side, the date of issue: 1392 AH / 1972 AD.
