This coin was minted during the presidency of Anwar Sadat, who ruled from 1970 to 1981.

Obverse: In the center is written “5 piastres” and above it “Arab Republic of Egypt.” Below it is the date of issue: 1395 AH / 1975 AD.

Reverse: It features a picture of a woman with the words “International Women’s Year” written behind her and “1975 AD” below.

Composition: Copper and nickel
