This coin was minted during the presidency of Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, who ruled from 1981 to 2011.

Obverse: At the top, it reads “2 piastres,” and on the opposite side, the date of issue is 1404 AH / 1984 AD. At the bottom, it reads “Arab Republic of Egypt.”

Reverse: An illustration depicting the three pyramids of Giza.
