صدرت بمناسبة انشاء منظمة الأغذية والزراعة من معدن الفضة سنة 1398 هـ / 1978م.

The coin was issued during the reign of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who ruled the Sultanate of Oman from 1970 to 2020 CE / 1390-1441 AH.

It was issued on the occasion of the establishment of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and is made of silver in 1398 AH / 1978 CE.

Obverse: The emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, featuring two crossed swords and a dagger, flanked by the years 1398 and 1978 CE.

Margin: The words “Sultanate of Oman” in Arabic and English.

Reverse: A lemon sculpture between the two emblems of the Sultanate. Below it is written ½.

Margin: Above it is written (Work on developing food resources), below it is the Food and Agriculture Organization. / And below it is half a riyal.
