The commemorative coin was issued in 2019 AD during the reign of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who ruled the Sultanate of Oman from 1970-2020 AD / 1390-1441 AH

It was minted by the Central Bank of Oman to coincide with the Blessed Renaissance Day and the passing of thirty years, as well as on the occasion of the anniversary of the opening of the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum. This coin was minted from silver and its value is one riyal. On one of its sides is a picture of Bait Al Falaj Fort, which houses the aforementioned museum.
