صدرت العملة في عهد الرئيس عبد الكريم قاسم الذي حكم من 1958 م حتى 1963 م

الوجه: في الوسط كتب 10 قروش / وفي الأعلى كتب (الجمهورية العراقية) وفي الأسفل سعفة نحيل وسنبله قمح لدلالة البيئة الزراعية. اعلاهما سنة اصدار العملة سنة 1959م / 1379 هـ

الظهر: قي الوسط دائرة بداخلها سنبلة قمح واعلى الدائرة كتب (الجمهورية العراقية) وحولها سيفين وبالأسفل كتب تاريخ سك العملة (14 تموز 1958 م)

التركيب: نحاس ونيكل

الوزن: 6.75 جرام

القطر: 26 ملم

السمك 1.6 ملم

The currency was issued during the presidency of Abdul Karim Qasim, who ruled from 1958 to 1963.

Obverse: In the center is written 10 piastres / Above is written (Republic of Iraq) and below is a slender palm frond and a wheat stalk to represent the agricultural environment. Above these is the year of issue of the currency: 1959 AD / 1379 AH

Reverse: In the center is a circle containing an ear of wheat / Above the circle is written “Republic of Iraq” surrounded by two swords / Below is the date of minting (July 14, 1958).
