الوجه: صورة جندي سوري يحيي بجانب علم سوريا / كتب اعلى صورة الجندي تاريخ اصدار العملة سنة (1442هـ / 2021 م) / وكتب أسفل صورة الجندي (خمسة آلاف ليرة سورية) / كما كتب في الأعلى (مصرف سوريا المركزي).

الظهر: منزل لوحة جدارية من معبد بعل شمين في مدينة تدمر القديمة (دمرت إثر حروب عام 2015 م) كتب في الأعلى والاسفل بالإنجليزية (مصرف سوريا المركزي) و (خمسة آلاف ليرة سورية).

المقاس : 65 x 158 ملم

This currency was printed during the era of President Bashar al-Assad, who ruled from 2000 to 2024.

Obverse: Image of a Syrian soldier saluting next to the Syrian flag / Above the image of the soldier is written the date of issue of the currency (1442 AH / 2021 AD) / Below the image of the soldier is written (five thousand Syrian pounds) / Also written at the top is (Central Bank of Syria).

Reverse: A mural from the Temple of Baalshamin in ancient Palmyra (destroyed during the 2015 wars). The words “Central Bank of Syria” and “Five Thousand Syrian Pounds” are written above and below in English.
