الوجه: دائرة في الوسط كتب داخلها ½ غرش سوري وخارجها على الجانبين سنبلتي حبوب وفي الأعلى كتب (البنك السوري) وفي الأسفل سنة اصدار العملة سنة 1921 م. الظهر: غصني زيتون كتب بينهما بالإنجليزي (½ غرش سوري) وفي الأعلى كتب بالفرنسية (البنك السوري) وفي الأسفل تاريخ اصدار العملة سنة 1921 م. التركيب: نحاس ونيكل الوزن: 4.11 جرام القطر: 21 ملم السمك: 1.42 ملم |

This coin was minted during the French Mandate, when Subhi Barakat was president of the Syrian Federation, which included Syria and Lebanon, from 1922 to 1925. Obverse: A circle in the center containing the inscription “½ Syrian Piastre,” flanked on either side by two ears of wheat. Above it is written “Syrian Bank,” and below it, the year of issue, 1921. Reverse: Two olive branches with the inscription “½ Syrian Piastre” in English between them. Above, the inscription “Syrian Bank” in French, and below, the date of issue, 1921.
