الوجه: دائرة في الوسط كتب داخلها ½ وخارجها في الأعلى كتب (الجمهورية السورية) وفي الأسفل كتب (نصف قرش) واسفله كتب سنة اصدار العملة سنة 1935 م.
الظهر: غصني من الشوفان كتب بينهما بالإنجليزي (½ غرش) وفي الأعلى كتب بالفرنسية (الجمهورية السورية) وفي الأسفل تاريخ اصدار العملة سنة 1935 م.

This coin was minted during the French Mandate, when Subhi Barakat was president of the Syrian Federation, which included Syria and Lebanon, from 1922 to 1925. Obverse: A circle in the center containing the number ½, with the words “Syrian Republic” written above it, and “Half a Piastre” below it, followed by the year of issue, 1935. Reverse: Two oat stalks with the words “½ piaster” inscribed between them in English. Above, the words “Syrian Republic” are written in French, and below, the date of issue: 1935.
