The banknote was printed during the rule of President Muammar Gaddafi, who governed from 1969 to 2011. Obverse: In the center is the falcon – the emblem of the Libyan Arab Republic. Below it is the inscription “Libyan Arab Republic,” and on either side of the falcon is written the year of issue: 1395 AH / 1975 AD.
