This coin was minted during the reign of King Edward VII of Great Britain, when Uganda and the East African region (present-day Kenya) were under British colonial protection and control, primarily administered by the British Empire.

Obverse: The British crown with the inscription in English around it:

On the left: (Edward VII / King and Emperor) and below: (Ten cents)

Reverse: In the center is a tusk symbolizing the African environment / above it is written 10 / around the circle is written in English (East African and Ugandan Protectorates)

At the bottom is the year of issue 1906 AD
