The banknote was printed during the presidency of Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who ruled from 2012 to 2022.

Obverse: Lower print in orange-brown and black on a multi-tonal gray background with a dominant yellow tint. / The historic city of Zabid, Al Hudaydah Governorate (Al Hudaydah) is in the center. A sketch of a mosque is included as a background image. At the top is written “Central Bank of Yemen,” and below to the left is written “200 Riyals.”

Reverse: Black and dark blue background print on a multi-tonal gray background with a dominant yellow tint. / A landscape of Hawf National Park in Al Mahrah Governorate is in the center. / An ornate mosque mihrab is on the right. / At the top is written “Central Bank of Yemen” in English, and at the top left is “200.” / At the bottom is written “Two Hundred Riyals” in English.
