الظهر: في الاعلى عبارة حكومة الهند بالإنجليزي / على الجهة اليسرى إطار دائري يتوسط الرقم 1 وكلمة روبية بالإنجليزي واسفلها 1975 م محاطا بالكليل من سنابل القمح وهو رمز للزراعة / في الوسط لوحة تضم قيمة الورقة (روبية واحدة) مكتوبة ب 13 لغة / وفي الجهة اليمنى إطار ابيض مخصص للعلامة المائية (اسد اشوكا) شعار الهند / في الأسفل عبارة ربية واحدة بالإنجليزي.

This banknote was issued during the tenure of President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, who served from 1976 until his death in 1977.

Obverse: Purple color. Features a watermark window and numerals on the left; a large, ornate numeral “1” in the center; the denomination “One Rupee” written in 13 different Indian languages; and “Government of India” inscribed below the numeral.

Reverse: “Government of India” in English at the top; a circular frame on the left containing the numeral “1” and the word “Rupee” (in English) above the year “1975,” surrounded by wheat stalks symbolizing agriculture; a central panel displaying the denomination (“One Rupee”) in 13 languages; a white frame on the right for the watermark (the Lion Capital of Ashoka, India’s national emblem); and “One Rupee” in English at the bottom.
